Partner of the Attorneys at law «IMG Partners» Vadym Triukhan made a commentary to «Delo.ua» web-portal regarding the referendum on Croatia's EU accession.
Experts are making pessimistic predictions on what is going to happen with the euro zone, when and how Greece announces a defaul tand what is going to happen with the EU in future.
Besides, the disturbing news about the crisis in the euro zone in the end of 2011 – beginning of 2012, there are some optimistic news from the EU. The last one is successful results of the referendum on Croatia's accession to the EU.
According to V. Triukhan, "there were some rumors in Croatia that the citizens of this country do not support the idea of joining the EU. But the results of Sunday's referendum show otherwise. More than 66% of people, who appered on the polling stations said "Yes" to the European future of their country".
So, now it is up to the EU Member States to decide. And if nothing extraordinary happens, Croatia becomes the 28th EU member state on 1 July 2013.
Thus, we can surely say that the European Union has a future. As to the euro pessimists, they should be advised to be more careful with their assessments.
